Classic West Coast Climbs
The one-day classic West Coast rock climbing routes course in Scotland is designed for climbers to experience some of the most iconic climbing routes in the region. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants will have the opportunity to climb a selection of classic routes that are tailored to their experience and skill level. The course will include instruction on climbing techniques, equipment selection, and route finding, as well as communication with partners and gear placement.
Throughout the day, the instructors will provide feedback and guidance on how to improve performance. The day will conclude with a debrief and discussion of the day’s experiences, providing an opportunity for participants to ask questions and provide feedback. Overall, the course offers a unique opportunity to explore the stunning rock climbing terrain of the West Coast of Scotland while developing climbing skills and knowledge.
Classic West Coast Climbs Itinerary

The course will begin with a meet and greet with the instructors and a safety briefing, followed by instruction on climbing techniques, equipment selection, and route finding. Participants will then have the opportunity to climb a selection of classic routes under the guidance of the instructors, with instruction on communication with partners and gear placement. The routes chosen for the day will be tailored to the experience and skill level of the group.

We pride ourselves on providing as much kit as possible for you. However, the list below is what we recommend you should bring to your Classic West Coast Climbs Course:
- Travel insurance. (We are insured for all our trips, but we recommend everyone has their own travel insurance as well.)
- Transportation to the venue. (We may be able to help with this though – if you need transportation please drop us an enquiry and we can see what we can do to help.)
- Lunch, water.
- Personal medication
- Sun cream, midge net
- Waterproofs (it is Scotland after all)
- Sturdy footwear.
- Climbing shoes.

- Photographs of the day provided for you at no extra cost! If the weather is good we will have a DSLR professional camera so we can take photos and videos of your adventure and you can look back at the day for years to come. If the weather is less favourable we will bring a GoPro (as it is waterproof) so we will still be able to take photos for you.
